What it is: Also known as the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the year in Judaism. It marks the culmination of the Ten Days of Repentance that begin with Rosh Hashanah Reading in Exodus Genesis was amazing! The name "Exodus" comes from the Greek word exodos, which means "a going out" or "a departure. Moving a mass group of people. Where are they going? The promise land. Perspective: It is definitely about God. It is not about Pharoah but it is God showing his people who he is (it is an introduction). Pharaoh is no match for God. God shows his people who he is.
