People are Like Trees
PEOPLE ARE LIKE TREE
Three Chapters from my book
By Nakisha Hercule
Picture yourself like a tree and your brain as having
roots that travel down into your heart the soil. This book is about how
our lives reflect what we put into our brains. Do not allow the slogan to take by surprise
in simple terms our lives will
produce fruit based upon what information is given to it.
For example trees naturally produce according to their kind; and when it is given
proper care it produces good fruit. When it comes to people
sometimes we see things in our lives we don't want there in the book bad fruit means wrong
information. Bad information leads to doubts. Bad information also
means bad behavior. It does not matter why you do something but what matters
what information needs to be removed or we could say reprogrammed. Secondly in the book I talk about how the brain
does not work alone but it is rooted in the soil (the heart).
The heart is important because it is the essence of person. Also God looks upon the heart
and it’s condition to determine our motives, intents, and
thoughts. For example when our brains receive
information that information is processed and the
condition of the heart determines what we do with the
information. We live in a negative world. So much
information is given to us through television, radio, and
other people. Often times it is difficult to weed out the
weeds but we can look at our lives to see what is bad? What is good?
If we desire to walk in the light God will help
us to discern the information we take in. The condition of
the heart determines a person’s life. This is evident
throughout the bible. In this world the bible is not just any
book but it is the basis of which I base my thoughts and ideas on. I also
reference the bible because the bible is the truth. Other
literary pieces tend to have other motives. The bible
authority and power rest in its powerful pages. It is my guiding
light and it helps me to see in a very dark world. The bible
also discloses revelational knowledge that helps us to grow
into strong trees planted by rivers of living water. God
looks at our hearts in order to help us understand the
inner workings of men. In the book of Matthew Jesus tells
the story of the four soils. This parable is important
because this parable compares people to trees as the Lord
seeks to explain the conditions of the heart. Of course
men are not trees but he uses soil as a metaphor to explain
the heart from a spiritual perspective. In the parable he
explains the four conditions of the heart. But before we
read them Jesus explains his method of teaching to the
disciples. The disciples wanted to know why he used
parables when he taught. Before he tells the parable to
crowd he tells his disciples that they are given the right as
Christ followers to understand mysteries. Some people
were listening out of curiosity some were there to find fault
with him. Some came for other wrong reasons. No matter
the reason God still offers the word to the world. Naturally
when we speak to a person and that person believes us
then they trust us. I had a close friend ask me about situation that was
happening to me. I responded. However when I spoke my
response about it some doubted and some believed. This
is the way it works. Some people have to have God touch
their hearts because they are doubtful in everything. They
need to be born again. I learned that those that
doubtful were not strong and those that believed were
saved and similar things had happen to them. When God speaks we believe
because we have received his spirit. I believe God knew
that not everyone would believe him but those that did
would follow him and leave everything they had behind.
On that day he taught them the parable about men and their hearts.
Jesus answered, "To you it has been
granted, to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven,
but to them it has not been granted. "For whoever has, to
him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance;
whoever does not have; even what he has will be taken
away from him. "Therefore I speak to them in parables,
because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing
they do not hear, nor do they understand. Jesus tells them
to listen closely to the parable of the sower.
"When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and
understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and
catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he
which received seed by the way side. But he that received
the seed into the stony places, the same is he that heareth
the word, and with joy received it; Yet he hath no root in
himself, but endureth for a while: for when tribulation or
persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is
offended. He also that received seed among the thorns is
he that heareth the word; and the cares of this world, and
the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he
becometh unfruitful. But he that received seed into the
good ground is he that heareth the word, and
understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringing
forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.
NKJV Matthew 13 19-24
Our hearts is the soil and the condition of our hearts
determine how we respond to information given to us.
If you have a stony heart persecution causes the word of God to
be unfruitful in our lives. The word of God is stolen from a
wayside heart. Jesus reveals that sowing involves the word of God.
The enemy does not have words but he does know how to twist
the truth.
Jesus does not reveal to the disciples how we develop heart
conditions but if your life is unfruitful categorized what type of
heart soil you have. The fruit God speaks of is goodness, love,
joy, peace, and self-control. Some believe it means a new car
or a new bank account. But that can be debated because not
every rich person in this world is saved but there are many saved
people who do well in life. However God is referring to the fruit
of the Holy Spirit.
