(Accepted into the Beloved)

EPHESIANS 1 7-12

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

We have redemption
We have grace
We have an inheritance
We have forgiveness

We have all these things in Christ

As a child I was wondered what do people mean when they say in Christ. We can look at as being a spiritual image that God wants to place in our minds. Liken to a top being in a bottle,or a person in a building. I think this is the exact image God wanted us to have. It is the idea that we are on the earth and in a house. That thing has the ability to carry you; and hold you or provide a place for you. For example we hear words but we see words with our minds. If someone says apple. I can see the apple if I picture it. We hear the word but we see  the image when we think. I think the wording is on purpose. To me it also implies that Jesus is bigger and able to cover us. We have lots of things in Christ. ( I know this maybe silly but if you invite someone in your house they are welcome to your things or they are in reach of things.) They have certain things available because they are in. Those on the outside of the house cannot have the things because they are out of reach.
