Another weekend is here. Another Sabbath rest. How refreshing it is. I love to sleep in on Saturday. God is always making things easy for us. He ask for one day. He lets us rest from work on that day. I have lots of friends and family who like to cook for Sunday. We get to experience encouragement and uplifting when we attend church.
Psalms
Chapter 2
Written by a Man whom God called; "a man after his heart"
Psalm 2 King James Version (KJV)
2 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

I know that there is probably a story ( who, what, when, where, and why) connected to the Psalms; but I just want to follow the plot line of the psalms only. There may be references to Saul, Bathsheba, and his sons but lets keep it simply. Those other details just provide setting and background. But we are only focusing on the psalms.
- The kings of the earth (are coming against God and his anointed)
- But God has called David (son)
- In this psalms (David takes a stand clearly he speaks not against the Kings of the earth but he is noting that they are against God and his anointed)
- Right away we see conflict
- He opens up with blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly
- Chapter 2 he states the heathen is raging; and there are those who do not stand with God nor those he has anointed.
Have a blessed day,
I love you,
I don't know you but I love you.
I have a friend who gets upset because her church custom is to tell the leader they love him. She confess to me that she thinks its fake to say I love you to someone you don't know. I laughed because I think she is thinking of an emotional love. When we speak of brotherly love we are speaking of treating others the way we want to be treated it has nothing to do with emotions. God wants us to love one another by treating each other right. Agape love is love actions not love feelings.
