The Psalms
Chapter 7

Psalm 7 King James Version (KJV)

7 O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:

2 Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.

3 O Lord my God, If I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;

4 If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)

5 Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honor in the dust. Selah.

6 Arise, O Lord, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.

7 So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sake therefore return thou on high.

8 The Lord shall judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.

9 Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.

10 My defense is God, which saveth the upright in heart.

11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

12 If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.

13 He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.

14 Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.

15 He made a pit, and dug it out, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.

16 His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.

17 I will praise the Lord according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high.

David prays for God to Judge him.
The Lord knows.
The Lord Sees All.

God knows everything. Sometimes we feel punished in circumstances. On one hand the devil is accusing us and on the other hand we are wondering why is life so backwards and wrong.

What do you think?

Do you think God is punishing us when we go through circumstances like this?

I have felt that way. I have had to check my soul and bow my head and say, Lord I trust you. I have had moments when I plead my case to God, In silence saying God you know I am innocent of this situation. The inner man is questioning God why is this happening? I love how David cries out to God and I believe God is watching David soul. God knows how to judge the inner man especially in times of distress. Once again in this chapter David is still praying/speaking to God asking for him to deliver him. What does David want to be deliver from? What do you think he needs to be delivered from?

His emotions?
The people?
Or is he waiting on God to deal with the wicked so David can move on and be happy?
When we think about the New testament and the Holy Spirit do you think it is possible to be happy under pressure?
To be blessed while we go through?
What would Jesus want us to do?
We have the Holy Spirit.

What do we need to be delivered from when the enemy accuses us?
Or when the wicked is coming against us?

1. Self  (emotions & over thinking

2. All the enemies that come along with problems
3. The words of the enemy

So we cry out too.....

Lord.....Deliver me.............
In my opinion we don't vex ourselves so the enemy  is not within but it is the enemies on the outside that wants to trouble our soul and get us off the path of righteousness. The devil wants us to do evil. People are mistreating us but God want us to be faithful to him even when it hurts.

David stays before God and we can too. He is in a safe place.

Thoughts to think on..

1. Why do we let people trouble us so bad?
2.Is it possible to relax and just wait on God.
3.It is more about becoming STABLE under pressure and persecution.

Have an awesome day,

Be blessed,
God sees.
God knows all.
