Psalms 112 (out of 150 total chapters)

It has been 112 days reading the psalms. It is filled with prayers, praise, and complaints to God. It is an amazing book.  

Remember Psalms 1 

Blessed is the one 

who does not walk in step with the wicked

or stand in the way that sinners take

or sit in the company of mockers

but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, 

and who meditates on his law day and night. 
That person is like a tree planted by the streams of water, 

which yield its fruit in season

and whose leaf does not wither-

whatever they do prosper

Not so the wicked!

They are like chaff

that wind blows away, 

therefore the wicked will stand in the judgement, 

nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous, 

but the way of the wicked leads to destruction. 

I didn't give much though to it but these 112 days have been spent meditating on the psalms. We have ponder it. We have thought about it. We agree with it. We have ponder his word day and night. 

The good thing about a tree is---it stands still. It enjoys the sunshine. Of course we are not real trees but he likens us to trees. So we are planted by the rivers of water. 

Psalms 112

Praise the Lord

Blessed are those who fear the Lord, '

who find great delight in his commands. 

Their children will be mighty in the land; 

the generation of the upright will be blessed. 

Wealth and riches are in their houses, 

and their righteousness endures forever. 

Even in darkness light dawns for the 

upright, for those who are gracious and 

compassionate and righteous. 

Good will come to those who are 

generous and lend freely. Who conduct their affairs with justice. 

Surely the righteous will never be shaken; 

they will be remembered forever. 

They will have no fear of bad news; 

their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. 

Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; 

in the end they will look in triumph on their foes. 

They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor, 

their righteousness endures forever

their horn will be lifted high in honor. 

The wicked will see and be vexed, 

they will gnash their teeth and waste away; 

the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.

Revelation 13

The Beast out of the Sea

The dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. 

ten horns=  power

ten crowns= he is ruling maybe ten regions/states/ or kingdoms

The crowns are located on his horns.

 

He has seven heads

One of the heads of the beasts seem to have a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was filled with wonder and followed the beast.

People worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, "Who is like the beast? Who can wage war against it? 

The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months. It opened its mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. It was given power to wage war against God's holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast--all whose names have not been written in the Lamb's book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world. 

Whoever has ears, let them hear. 

IF anyone is to go into captivity, 

into captivity they will go. 

If anyone is to be killed with the

sword, 

with the sword they will be killed. 

This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God's people. 

The Beast out of the Earth

Then I saw a second beast, coming out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon. It exercised all the authority of the first beast on its behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast whose fatal wound had been healed. 

And it performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view of the people. Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the fist beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refuse to worship the image to be killed. It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could no buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name. 

This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man that number is 666. 

What a mystery? 

It is a man.

It has a name. 

People will wear the name
Or his number

When I think of some of the numbers in revelations God uses seven a lot. This is the first time six or three sixes is used. 

The seven spirits

seven bowl judgments

seven lamp stands

seven stars (angels)

seven angels with seven plagues

this beast is 666

The book of Daniel chapter 7 is an awesome book to read. I reed it and there are four beast in his dream also. He tells the dream and at the end of the dream there is an interpretation of his dream. According to Daniel the different beast represent different kings and kingdoms that will rise in the end times. 

How unsettling the kings are called beast. A beast lives by no rules. They have no feelings or emotions like normal humans do. When someone called you a beast its almost like being a monster. They lack empathy and emotions.

Don't Judge the Book

Just put in Perspective

I love discovering new things but when it all boils down to it we do not have to understand every mystery. It is nice to know. I love them. I really think God wants believers to avoid trusting in the kingdoms of the world. They might be powerful and strong but eventually they will fall. Secondly it talks a lot about worshiping the beast and powerful things. We should not worship money, powerful people, their status because God reveals not all powerful things are good. We stand in awe of power but not all power is good power. There power is going to bring the world to an end. We may not figure out who is the beast is but we can trust God.The book of revelation is a tough book. I decided to read this book because it is very relevant today. It is not a book of love and peace. It is not the gospels. It is not Genesis. It is nothing like Paul's writing to the churches. You see very little about the saints in revelations; its not about them. You see very little about the church. The only thing you see about the church is in the first chapter and Jesus is standing in the midst of them. Revelation is about dark spirits and those who refuse to repent. It is not for the believer to be discourage but it was written to encourage them. There is only good things about believers in this book. Lastly this is the last book in the bible and it is revelation. It is God unveiling things as they are or as they will be.  This book has severe judgments. No book in the bible is like this. Think for a moment. When you read the gospels Jesus is healing, he is teaching, the disciples are learning. When you read revelations you see the lamb, the seals, the beast, the dragon. It is also called a book of prophecy. I do not always see God playing a big role in revelations. He speaks briefly. What do I mean? I see him opening things. He is releasing things. He is allowing things; and it is somewhat confusing but all things must come to an end. I believe in my heart that Jesus has loved man so deeply. In the other books we see his love in actions and word but in this book we find there is not much preaching. 

Should we fear the 666 or the beast? No.
This happens after the great multitude.

This happens after the trumpet blows. 

Some believe that it will be one world order. They believe all nations will join together and then this is when this beast will arise. 

What should we fear?

Fear God.

Its so many beast and plagues and woes!
