Did you know that God became poor so that we can become rich?

Why do you think God made him poor?

Some may disagree with me but I will still employ my thoughts to you today. Why was such a rich person made poor on the earth. I believe God made Jesus a normal hard working person with a purpose in mind. For example when people followed him it would be for the right reason. They would see his righteousness more than his chariot. It would be authentic. Many serve God out of their abundance but how many serve him and get nothing? The heart no man knows but God. A thought to think on.....If the Lord was rich and flaunting like Caesar he could have won Rome and the surrounding cities over. But he was born to a virgin christian girl who did not have many resources. I think God understands the flesh and its desires. I believe he just wanted people to desire what was right and in the midst of doing what is right they can discover true riches. True riches is not a car or a house it is wisdom, knowledge, love, understanding, the ability to love imperfect people in an imperfect world.

Luke 18:18-30 

And a ruler asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone. You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother.’” And he said, “All these I have kept from my youth.” When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “One thing you still lack. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” .

Did God really want him to be poor. I don't think so. Jesus had a time when he would enter into his glory but doing his time on earth he was not trying to win people so that can become rich he first desired their hearts to love him. 

Romans 2:4

Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?

LOUD AND SLOPPY BUT ONCE HE BECAME RICH HE WAS DIGNIFIED.
RICHES CAN CHANGE A MAN.  BEING POOR AFFECTS A MANS
BEHAVIOR. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Ephesians 2:7

so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

The king becomes poor in order to find a true bride. A woman who was not looking to get rich but a woman who truly loved him.... A poor state really shows who loves and who hates you. I think the Lord had this idea in mind..........

once the young realizes he is a king she is feels so lucky. but most importantly their love will last because it is not based upon riches but real riches. Faithfulness, wisdom, caring, and love.

Colossians 2:2-3

that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Philippians 4:19

And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
