Four more days in the book of psalms how much can you highlight about God or what can you say about God's character after reading the book of psalms. 

Lord help me to See!

I once was blind but now I see. When we say blind people get confuse but just think for a moment we have a tendency to see God from a mere human perspective. God is heaven and you are on earth. That is a great distance. Texas is far but God is further. However He wants to be your friend. How can we gain this friendship? He wants us to get to know him. How can we get to know him? Strange how we were born and did not have a clue about God until someone spark the flame... or you grew up in a Christian home....but when you were born... you were born into sin and shaped into iniquity. We learn sin pretty fast. We also learned our natural mother and Father and we adopted things from them and other things from the world (we learn it and it came naturally). But let us take the time to learn God. Paul said, Who are you Lord? I like that he said Lord because we know that he is God but at the same time from a human perspective we say; who are you?.....Someone might say he is the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob, and this is why we bible study.

Lord who are you?

It is very hard to trust someone you don't know. That is logical and it makes sense even to those who don't put much thought into anything. But God will go beyond our logic.. to a place we are all seeking (100% faith). Maybe this is silly to you but I am getting to know God and thus far.........(drum roll).... everything I have learned says, trust him, take a risk, go for it, his record is perfect. He is amazing. Why do we read about men dead and gone...... because they are testifying to who he is. 

What can we gain?

The more I know the more I can trust him. The more I can trust him the greater my obedience grows. I did not become a Christian and do everything right but my heart said, Lord who are you.... who is this? Who is this tugging on my heart? What is my life that he should care about me? I took the journey saying Lord, I want to know you, help me to pick up something new. 😍

A loving Relationship

God wants us to be in relationship and not be in a burden relationship. He is God but he is also your friend. Of course right is right and wrong is wrong however the point of bible study is to get to know God. No one is going to pay you but you get to know God better. 

Psalms 146 

Praise the Lord

I will praise the Lord all my life;

I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.

Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot

save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground;

on that very day their plans come to nothing. Blessed are those 

whose help is the God of Jacob, 

Who is Jacob?

What is his life?

Why should we read his story!

He trusted God and in the midst of us reading his story we learn who God is. 

Then we gain the FAITH to take the risk.

whose hope is in the Lord their God. 

He is the maker of heaven and earth, 

the sea, and everything in them-he remains faithful forever.

He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry.

A long time ago when the slaves arrived to America they could not speak English and the bible was here in America. For some reason or another and we may not never know why.... but the bible was not circulating in Africa. To read is a blessing. When I pick up that bible I can understand it. I can read it. I can let God speak to me and we all have this blessing. 

It maybe silly but its true!

He sets the prisoners free, the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous, 

The Lord watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked. The Lord reigns forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the Lord. 

(Who takes people as prisoners (sin) whichever way it gets you... it wants to keep you, maybe its through a person, place, or just yourself. But it wants us to stay the same. If its a person they will do anything to stay in your life, if its a place they want you stay in that place and fight you if you try to get free from the person, place, or thing)
