Winning With God
Do we show Partiality?
How do we really see
The Rich and the Poor
God wants to change the poor state.................I am not sure if it means to be super rich but I do think a man will not lack any good thing with God.
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs
He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.
Ezekiel 16:49-50 - Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
Ecclesiastes 2:26 - For [God] giveth to a man that [is] good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to [him that is] good before God. This also [is] vanity and vexation of spirit.
Matthew 7:12 - Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
How do we really see
The Rich and the Poor
Who desires to follow a poor man? No one
Who wants to follow the rich man? Many
It is more likely, we common people of America gravitate towards following the rich because.....are you ready for it........... we want to know what they did to become rich. It is normal but it can be abnormal because it determines how people are treated; and sometimes it really becomes abnormal in religious settings, as well as social settings.
We want to know how to get to rich man street. I am guilty of it. I realized I am so accepting of the rich. I don't investigate them. I don't test them and I easily trust whatever they say. most of us is taught that once we get the money....we get the power...and once we get the power we are approved by God. We are capable of becoming a leader of others. I think we all have been deluded and tricked into following things and people out of a wrong spirit and wrong heart. Often times we are supporting the rich for wrong reasons as well as abandoning our beliefs. We make the rich special in our eyes. As a Christian God desires that we treat all man the same but some religious people may say victory avenue is located on money street.
Do you think we follow the rich in order to mimic what they do in order to have what they have? If so we are not having faith in God to bless us we are looking for the method that will help us get rich like them. But I suggest to you; lots of people have money but not many have God. It is probably wise to look at the heart. We overlook the faults and sins of the rich just because they have influence and they know the right people and those people can make or break us. We then become a slave to people? They dictate our obedience to God.
If the man or woman is poor we hold them to a standard. We tell them to sit at the back of the meetings and the rich get to sit up front. Even if they do not serve God the way the bible speaks about; money have made a place for them. Instantly they become our bible leaders but what if that is not God's will. Maybe we should not overlook people because they are not drape in gold but we should look at the fruit and heart of a person.
I know that it is old and played out but what if you discover one day that your own heart is wrong. We followed the rich because we really want what they have. We don't believe in them? Sometimes we don't like them? But in this game of life we are trying to be with the in crowd and we all are looking to get rich one day. We just might end up deceiving ourselves and not going to heaven because we are blinded by riches and our desire to have them is greater than our desire to follow God.
We all desire money and more of it but what I am speaking about; is how we treat one another. We never hear about the rich being mistreated. But we hear of the poor being mistreated and we ignore it and we say their sins have found them out. I do not think things will change but I believe that we can value the man and woman and treat all the same. It can be a private choice. I think its hard to accept because we all need to be successful in this world it is our approval and award from other men. What really happens with success? What happens is men will accept you into their meetings. Who wants to be rejected? No one. I think its a tough thing to master. I also think it is a tough thing to be honest about.
