Psalms
Chapter 5
Psalm 5
King James Version
(KJV)
1. Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.
2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.
3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
You 7 But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
8 Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.
11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defend-est them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
12 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

David has many against him.
He cries out to God.
He is faithful to trust God.
God called David a man after his own heart.....this is God's main man. A man that God could trust. He is expressing himself to God. In the midst of problems he is not following his emotions; but he takes his emotions to God. We are more likely to experience negative emotions because evil is all around us. Emotions are just feelings. It is important to learn how to handle things and people without letting our feelings get the best of us.
What is David trusting God for?
David cannot respond like the wicked man or woman because
he knows God cannot dwell with evil; so he wants to do what is righteous even in the midst of his enemies. He restrains himself physically and he takes it all to the Lord. That is what trust looks like.
He declares what he will do in the midst of his many enemies he says;

Have an awesome day.

- Guidance
- Issues to problems he see with the wicked
David cannot respond like the wicked man or woman because
he knows God cannot dwell with evil; so he wants to do what is righteous even in the midst of his enemies. He restrains himself physically and he takes it all to the Lord. That is what trust looks like.
He declares what he will do in the midst of his many enemies he says;

- As for me, I will worship in your temple.
- Lord I know you have no pleasure in the wicked so lead me in the path of righteousness.
- In the morning he prays to God.
- lastly he wants to avoid being like the wicked.
- he pleads with God to "Give ear to my words"
I think that its natural for us to respond to adversity in a negative way but David doesn't want to follow his soul he wants to follow God.
Have an awesome day.
