Psalms 87

Psalms 87

Of the sons of Korah. 

A psalm. A song. 

He has founded his city on the holy mountain. 

The Lord loves the gates of Zion

more than all the other dwellings of Jacob. 

Glorious things are said of you, 

city of God:

I will record Rahab and Babylon among 

those who acknowledge me-

Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush-

and will say, "This one was born in Zion. 

Indeed, of Zion it will be said, 

"This one and that one were born in her, 

and the Most High himself will establish her." 

The Lord will write in the register of the peoples:

"This one was born in Zion." 

As they make music they will sing

All my fountains are in you."

John 8 

Dispute Over Whose Children Jesus Opponents Are

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." 

They answered him, "We are Abraham's descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free? 

Jesus replied, "Verily, Verily I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has not permanent place in the family, but a song belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. I know that you are Abraham's descendants. Yet you are looking for a way to kill me, because you have no room for my word. I am telling you what I have seen in my Father's presence, and you are doing what you have heard from your father. 

(Jesus beautifully speaks of his Fathers presence. I completely get it. I think about ideas we have. Have you ever experience good thoughts, or what about good visions. They come from the Father. The principle goes both ways because evil thoughts are planted in the mind of the wicked. A Father is the seed planter. The idea of reproduction. The man has the seed the woman has the womb.  The same goes for ideas or words they come from somewhere. Who is the father of it? Jesus says I only do what I see the Father do. We are bodies controlled by something. Seeds are being planted. Words are seeds.)

Abraham is our father," they answered. 

If you were Abraham's children, said Jesus, "then you would do what Abraham did. As it is, you are looking for a way to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things. You are doing the works of your own father. 

(It is awkward because their actions and their thoughts are so far apart. Its odd they relate to Abraham as a father instead of God. There words reveal that they do not know the Father; and it is impossible for them to know Jesus.  Abraham was a great man, Moses was too but Jesus is talking about the Father in heaven. Obviously they did not understand God and they refuse to believe Jesus. Moses could not introduce them to God, he introduce them to the law. Did God hide himself at that point? I don't know but Moses taught them the Law. Thou shalt not.... Jesus wants them to know his wonderful Father in heaven and it seems to me that the Father is great. There is good things happening. No man has ever seen God. That is most religions. God is so great they had to have commandments from Moses just to get a inch near him. All religions believe no man can see him with their eyes. It is a respect thing. But Jesus is God's son. But there is something keeping them from Jesus. Abraham is the Father of faith. He did not introduce us to God but he introduced us to Faith in God. Jesus is wonderful and sadly some people do not believe the truth. 

"We are not illegitimate children, They protested. "The only Father we have is God himself."

Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, you would love me for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. But why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell you the truth, you do not believe me! Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me? Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God. 

 The devil language is lies. God's language is truth.  In America we learn English. It may be hard to understand a person who speaks Italian just because the language is different. Sometimes its difficult to be around someone who does not get what you are saying to them.  It is the difference between truth and a lie. People that believe lies and it makes no sense or it has no evidence but in their minds its real. They go tell other people but those people don't believe it because they can't. People that believe in the truth and there may not be any evidence it just makes sense to them. Jesus makes sense to me. But I know people I try talking to and they say they see contradictions in the bible. I look at the same things they look at and I don't see what they see. Often times non believers think Believers are crazy. 

I notice often times they caught people in sin, they knew when people were sinning. If they wanted a concrete reason to believe they could look at his works because If their father is the devil they are connect to his works if Jesus comes from God he has to do what God does. Like a judge and jury he asks a beautiful question have you found me guilty of sin? Not so much them but the devil.  I bet they analyze him thoroughly but could find nothing wrong but they still did not believe.

As Fathers day approaches, it seems to me a good Father know his kids. God knows who belongs to him. We may be confused but God is not. The word Father is a big word. It is the person who begets us.

to be the creator, founder, or author of; originate. It makes me think of a planted seed. It blossoms. It has to be cared for. Then the world gets to enjoy the benefits of the planted seed. It has a founder the person who created the seed. The Father plants the seed.
