Happy New Year
It is 2020
Hopes for the New Year
I hope your new year is filled with new blessings.
If you are like me maybe you faced hard situations and problems in 2019.
I pray that this year we all discover how to destroy the works of Satan.. Tread over serpents.
In order to embrace new growth.
If it bothered you last year; I hope this year you are not bothered by it.

As noted, this year I want to move in a unique writing direction.
This is my first time venturing in this area.
I am a positive writer who enjoys building and uplifting others up through positive words. Words that touch your soul and inspire you.
My writings are all similar but different.
So far I have written a few books; and I hope you decide to listen to or read this year.
I am a person who is a believer; and the bible is special to me and it is apart of my thinking and writing.
I am not under an organization or getting paid to preach but I am simply a believer who shares her faith.
I would not mind having those tradition tittles we see in religious organizations but I wanted to be clear. My views are from the perspective of a believer. Just like Mary, Mary Magdalene, and Joseph. We are not receiving any monetary gain but we simply enjoy reading and building up others.

I love the bible ( A weapon) dividing between soul and spirit. It it able to separate the two.

January 1, 2020

We are going to start with Joshua.

Why do it?
1. It is an opportunity to read the bible.
2. Its nice to read and share with other believers
3. We learn from each other.
4. Since the Jesus ascended into heaven men and women gathered in groups
5. groups have power to keep the enemy out
6. learning about God
7.The opportunity to read about others journey with God
8. incorporating new principles into our daily lives this year; personally I have goals to become a home owner and I want to have God's wisdom and blessing as I journey through this year. As for me when I write; I always study first. This year is a study year for me. These are things I do in my personal time. For example I study for a year and then begin my book writing. I have not done this since college. I use to get up early and I was determined to read through the whole bible. I do read but mostly chapters without detail studying. I like to listen to a little inspiration music and I enjoy God.
9. It is pleasing to God. It will be Monday through Friday. I post at night to make available in the morning.
10. I just like to learn how about God.

Joshua

Background

Moses is dead. God is moving the children of Israel in a new direction. They were in ONE place with Moses. Moses was the leader but he was not to take the children of Israel into the promise land. Once he died it was time to pick up and Go.  So JOSHUA is given instructions by God. Picture yourself among the children of Israel. Joshua tells you, "Hey we are about to go into the promise land". Picture the joy. They came out of slavery. They were coming out of the wilderness and it was time to go into the promise land. If you want look at the character of Moses that might be helpful before reading the first chapter. Moving forward Moses was raised in Egypt. Egypt was about one man (who had an evil spirit). He was the Pharaoh. He was one man but he had 400 men enslaved. Moses was able to deliver them. God spoke and Moses went. Deliver means to be rescued from something. God did not come down from heaven to help them. He sent his word. He gives instructions. He picked a man to go and face the devil. Moses told Pharaoh, let my people go. Eventually Pharaoh did as he was told. But he was stubborn it took him time to let go. He was holding on for dear life. He wanted them to serve him forever but God said no; the time has come for them to leave this place.

Unique things I noticed.
1. God moves people as a unit
2. we never see God move just one person
3. He chooses a leader. He gives that person instructions
4. That person is going to take us somewhere. If we translate or think modern. 2020. A leader takes your mind somewhere. It may not be a physical place. For example some people gossip and lie. They take your mind to dark place. Some people talk about God and life and they take you to faith places. We begin to dream and see things a new. So if God is a spirit then we move in the spirit first. Everything begins with the word. Words take us places. Preachers preach the word. So based upon the word and the leader that determines where you physically go.
5. We all should belong to a local church; I look forward to church this year. I am going to join a fellowship, How can we go any where without a shepherd. As believers God speaks to us too but he has an order.
6. We have our personal lives but we are ONE body of believers. There are other believers all over the world. When the trumpet sounds. It does not say one person shall ascend but it says WE shall be caught up. So develop a group mindset. Just like in the Army  we have battle buddies. Moses had Joshua. Jesus had the disciples. Nobody every worked alone in the bible.
7. The bible tells us the wheat and the tares are together. There will be men and women in the fellowships who are not true believers. Do not focus on them but focus on God. Even though they change our words, distort truth, and seek to discourage. The Goal is God and not focus on a messy person being used by the devil.

Chapter 1
After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses assistant saying, Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which i am giving to them-the children of Israel.

Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory.

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.

Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give to them.

Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall mediate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Have I not commanded you?

Be strong and of good courage; Do not be afraid, not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people saying, "Prepare provisions for yourselves for withing three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess.

And to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh Joshua spoke, saying,

Remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, The Lord your God is giving you rest and is giving you this land.

Your wives, your little ones, and your livestock shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side of the Jordan. But you shall pass before your brethren armed, all your mighty men of valor, and help them, until the Lord have given your brethren rest, as he give you, and they also have taken possession to the land which the Lord your God is giving them.

Then you shall return to the land of your possession and enjoy it, which Moses the Lords servant gave you on this side of the Jordan toward the sunrise.

So they answered Joshua, saying, "All that you command us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go.

Just as we heeded Moses in all things, so we will heed you. Only the Lord your God be with you, as he was with Moses.

Whoever rebels against your command and does not heed your words, in all that you command him, shall be put to death.

Only be strong and of courage.

NOTES

Be strong, and of good courage appears multiply times

Instructions are given and passed along

God wants to give us rest

Living in the enemy's area or land is not being able to rest. He will persecute. He will taunt. Sometimes you gotta moved to your own place. To the place the Lord is giving you.

I love that God wants them to move forward (as well as enjoy the land)

For some reason they keep telling Joshua to be STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE
I wonder why...................I guess chapter two will tell us,
