Good morning,
Prayer
The things I want to do, I don't do but the the things I don't want to do, I do.
It's called humanity; it's called flesh.
It is the reason why Jesus died. He came to show the way. He came to help mankind. We need help. It's okay to ask.
A real Christian can humble themselves and admit the flesh is weak. In the book of Romans Paul confessed the same problem. He says whom shall save me, Jesus Christ. All we need is a want too. I want to do what is Right.
Holy Spirit do what only you can do. Move my heart 💓❤️❤️❤️
Don't leave God because you struggle. Between our flesh and spirit is a mind. Or some say the soul. Once again we want to do what is right. It is not natural but we open our minds to the word and God does the work. God will move the will; that is why he alone deserve the glory. Who can glory? What fleshly person can pat themselves on the back; And say look how great I am? That person is the worst of the worst
Why do we want the glory. Even if I do what is right it is God moving in me. Letting me rise above my flesh. As we read the Old testament take note of the frail state if man. Then notice how victorious man is when God is with him.
God is with us.
Joshua 9
The king's hear about Joshua and the battles he won. They decide let us come together and fight him. Sometimes the devil like to jump you. He will use multiple people at the same time. One person could not win so he says use multiple people. In the spirit Man is fighting against God's will. In the flesh these king's think we are going to be defeated by the children of Israel. I love that God calls them children. But these were grown adults. The word children implies helpless, needy, and needing a parent Guardian.
Others decided to join them. Somewhat like the old saying... If you cannot beat him join them. Joshua made a peace treaty's with others.
This chapter is amazing. We see Joshua moving on up.
He is gaining ground.
He is going to the promise Land.
The King's will fight or get out the way..
I love the Bible. I look at God and think I am grateful he helps me. I am nothing without him. I remember being in college and praying everyday. Help me please Lord. I won't make it. Help me. The victory came and more victory and the I got real comfortable. But once again I can't do it without him. Help me Lord .. to do what I don't want to do.
