ROMANS
chapter 3

This chapter is written in a conversational way;  it includes questions and statements similar to a dialogue.

Then what advantage has the Jew?

Or what is the value of circumcision?

Much, in every way.

For in the first place the Jews were entrusted with the oracles of God?

What if some were unfaithful?

Will their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God?

By no means!

Although everyone is a liar, let God be proved right, as it written,

"so that you may be justified in your words, and prevail in  your judging"

But if our injustices serves to confirm the justice of God, what should we say?

That God is unjust to inflict wrath on us?

(I speak in a human way.)

By no means!

For then how could God judge the world?

But if though my falsehood God's truthfulness abounds to his glory, why am I still being condemned as a a sinner?

And why not say (as some people slander us by saying that we say), let us do evil so that Good may come?

their condemnation is deserved!

What then?

Are we better off?

No, not at all; for we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks are under the power of sin, as it is written:

"There is no one who is righteous, not even one; there is no one who seeks God" All have turned aside, together they have become worthless; there is no one who shows kindness, there is not even one." their throats are open graves; they use their tongues to deceive. the venom of vipers is under their lips, their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery are in their paths, and the way of peace they have not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes."

Now we know that whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced, and the whole world may be held accountable to God. For no human being will be justified in his sight by deeds prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.

But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been disclosed, and is attested by the law and the prophets, the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is not distinction , since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; They are now justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a sacrifice of atonement by his blood, effective through faith.

He did this to show his righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over the sins previously committed; it was to prove at the present time that he himself is righteous and that he justifies the one who has faith in Jesus.

Then what becomes of boasting?

It is excluded.

By what law?

By that of works?

No, but by the law of faith.

For we hold that person is justified by faith apart from works prescribed in the law.

Or is God the God of the Jews only?

Is he not the God of the Gentiles also?

Yes, of Gentiles also, since God is one; and he will justify the circumcised on the ground of faith and the uncircumcised through the same faith.

Do we then overthrow the law by this faith?

By no means!

On the contrary, we uphold the law.

What a beautiful reading 😍

We cannot please God through works. We please God through Christ Jesus. It is a mystery but it is beautiful. Doing the law is good but it is not a WAY to God. It is actually a stumbling block. It was prophesied that Jesus would come to SAVE his people. Let us think a warrior. All the great Christians want to do what is right. They had the Law but the law was kicking there butt. If you offended in one area you were guilty. The Law is good but Jesus came to save us. He says he did not come to do away with the Law but fulfill it. For today we know we wrestle not with flesh and blood but with principalities, spiritual wickedness and most times the devil defeats us in the law. There is no way to keep it every day for the rest of your life. Moses could not keep it. It was hard. Jesus could keep it. As a human being you are going to get angry one day. There are intentional and non intentional sinning. God is the righteous judge. Look at what the Devil did to Jesus. He betrayed him, everyone left him, he hung on a cross most people would have been cursed. The devil works in our flesh wispering God is not real. But God did it he fulfilled the law as a man. How awesome is that. He is a super hero. He says listen to me, do what I tell you and you can walk on water too. I's so glad we have help.

The Bible leads us to Christ

What he says-------is faith
Doing what he says-----is works

who gets the glory---------God
who gets defeated---------the Devil

Who gets peace----------We do
Who gets joy--------------we do
Who gets happiness------------we do
Who gets life--------------------we do

Prophecies about Jesus's ministry

    between you and the woman,
    and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel" (Genesis 3:15).

Something Great to remember today.......

PSALMS 1
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he mediates day and night. He is like a tree planted by the streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgement, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
