June 23, 2020, Psalms 103, Revelation 5

He who opens doors no man can shut; and he shuts doors no man can open.

Psalms 103

Praise the Lord, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not his benefits-
who forgives all you sins
and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
The Lord works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.
He made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel:
The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;
he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him
so as far as the east from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.
As for man, his days are like grass,
he flourishes like a flower in the field;
the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.
But from everlasting to everlasting
the Lord's love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children's children
with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.
The Lord has established his throne in heaven,
and kingdom rules over all.
Praise the Lord, you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his bidding,
who obey his word.
Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts,
you his servants who do his will.
Praise the Lord, all his works everywhere
in his dominion.
Praise the Lord, O my soul.

Revelations 5
The book with the Seven Seals

I saw,

in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a book written inside and on the back, sealed up with seven seals.

  • seven spirits of God
  • Seven churches
  • Seven stars
  • Seven seals
And I saw as strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "who is worthy to open the book and to break its seals?

And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the book or to look into it.

Then I began to weep greatly because no one was found worthy to open the book or to look into it.

and one of the elders said to me, stop weeping; behold, the lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and is seven seals.

And I saw between the throne (with the four living creatures) and the elders a Lamb standing, as if slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him who sat on the throne. When he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty four elders fell down before the lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

And they sang a new song, saying,

"Worthy are you to take the book and to break its seals;
for you were slain, and purchase for God with you blood
men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth."

(How wonderful is that,
He is in heaven but he has done so much to help men out. God is amazing!)

Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice,

"Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessings."

Lamb means innocence; pure; a clean heart; a clean mind; righteous; there's nothing evil about him. He is worthy; He is in a great place. In a high position (the right hand of God). God is faithful to you if you are faithful to him.

And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying,

"To him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever."

And the four living creatures kept saying, "Amen."

And the elders fell down and worshiped.

 Who would dislike God?
Who can find fault with God?
Who can say anything bad about God?

Have a great day!
