Psalms 104 

Praise the Lord, O my soul

O Lord my God, you are very great; 

you are clothed with splendor and majesty. 

He wraps himself in light as with a garment; 

he stretches out the heavens like a tent

and lays the beams of his upper chamber on their waters.

The Book Opened; 

The First Seal-The False Christ

Then I saw the Lamb brake one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the Four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, "Come." 

The First seal--the False Christ.

I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. 

The Second Seal--War

When he broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, come. And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him. 

The Third Seal--Famine

When he broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, come. I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil and the wine. 

The Fourth Seal--Death

When the broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, "come." 

I looked, and behold an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth. 

The Fifth Seal-Martyrs

When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained; and they cried out with a loud voice saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, will you refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth? And there was given to each of them a white robe; and they were told that they should rest for a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed even as they had been, would be completed also. 

The Six Seal--Terror

I looked when he broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sack clothe made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood; and the stars of the sky fell to the earth and the men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains; and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; for the great day their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?

It is 2020 and our world is filled with deceit, war, famine, and death. The times are always changing and we may not understand it all but we have to trust God. 

Helpful commentary (NIV)

The color of the horses and their riders correspond to the character of the rider. For example white symbolizes conquest: The rider of the white horse goes out conquering and he wants to conquer.

• He is a false Christ.....some may say... anti-Christ.
• He deceives because he is in white; but he is not Christ.
• How is he conquering? It is through deceit.  His color may represent pureness but in reality he is false. 
• Lots of people will follow false religions. 

Red horse 

• bloodshed
• war
• people killing one another.
• Current news reveals so many things. Things such as Police killings, police killing people, acts of violence, acts of racism, car accidents, diseases, poor health care, black on black crimes, hate crimes, etc.... 

Black horse

• famine
• a pair scales
• the barley and the wheat has inflated prices: this idea is true today. Every year prices go up. During the writers time prices were ten times higher than there normal prices. Why? Famine has been released.
• Around the world people are stricken by famine. Its unique how the prices rise during famine; now the problem becomes the famine can never leave because poor people will always struggle to pay for the rising prices.  However the prices will continue to rise and this makes food a hard thing to have. 
• Its not just minorities; sometimes its rural areas and people with little money suffering from famine. 

Pale horse

• death
• hades
• The more and more bloodshed, war, and famine happening what is always next? Death. After death there will be martyrs and then terror. People cannot murder Christians and think justice will not be served.  

Why do you think these things were sealed?

I would say knowledge is power but thankfully God shares it with us. The Lamb is innocent but he is worthy to open the seals! When you read it, it reads like the Lamb is releasing these things upon the earth but some commentaries say the Lamb has the authority to say what and when something will happen. These things are taken place for other reasons but God is still God. Time is his hands. So what is the purpose of revelation?

To reveal...He opens the seals and he reveals the riders and the horses. There are so many images conveying meaning to us. 

The beginning of the book says the other purpose of revelation was to encourage the believers during persecution. As Christians we want justice but the world is living without God and these things are sure to happen. The most precious thing revelations tells me is; God knows those who belong to him. The great multitude in white are worshiping the lamb. The 144,000 are also sealed. They are the twelve tribes of Israel. 

 So much is happening in the book but we see they are safe.

God knows each and everyone of us. 

They are fine. 

They are in white. 

Those in White. 

What do you think?

This book was written hundreds of years ago; and God knows who would be saved. He reveals that the multitude comes from every nation. He even knows all the people in the twelve tribes. He knows the exact number. So we can we take courage because God knows who belong to him. The angels know too because they have a seal on their foreheads. When these horses and riders are on the earth they are not hurt.
