Psalms 132 

How good and pleasant it is

when God's people live together in 

unity!

It is like precious oil poured on the 

head, 

running down on the beard, 

running down on Aaron's beard, 

down on the collar of his robe, 

It is as the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion.

For there the Lord bestows his blessing, 

even life forevermore.

This passage is so beautiful.

& how wonderful it is to witness God's people unified.

 God will bestow his blessing upon his people.

I am not speaking of unity with the wicked. 
Wicked people fight just because they wake up angry.

They go to bed angry

They make up reasons to be angry. 

 But it says How pleasant it is for God's people to live 

together in unity.

Acts 4 23-37

The Believers Pray

On their release, Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them. When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. 

"Sovereign Lord, they said, you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them. You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, our Father David:

"Why do the nations rage

and the peoples plot in vain?

The Kings of the earth rise up

and the rulers band together

against the Lord

and against his anointed one.

Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed. They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen. Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness, stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus. After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. 

What do you think of God in this passage? We know God is in control. Look at how the believers prayed. So we know that it is somewhat controlled; but I like to think of it as God already knows what is going to happen. The people plot and plan in vain. He knows what I am about to say; he knows what is going to happen a week from now. We are in real time, that means things happen to us in the moment. But God already knows what will happen. He knows how belong to him.
