Chapter 2
The book of Isaiah
Chapter one is written to a rebellious nation.
Chapter two is different it is about the Mountain of the Lord.
This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:
In the last days
the mountain of the Lord's temple will be established
as the highest of the mountains;
it will be exalted above the hills,
and all the nations will stream to it.
Many peoples will come and say,
"Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths. The Law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples.
God's temple sets on a high place. It is a place where people come to learn how to walk in the Lord's ways.
God's mountain is a place to learn and seek his righteousness. God directs people on how to do what is right.
He invites them to come to the high mountain.
It is not about beating someone down because they are wrong but its about them knowing, God will tells you the wrong but he also invites people to go up to the mountain. To climb higher, elevating the mind, learning what is right.
They will beat their swords into plowshares and their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.
Come, descendants of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the Lord.
God wants to teach us..how to walk in the light.
In the Gospels it says Jesus taught his disciples. He stood on the mount of olives and taught the people the b- attitudes. The disciples went on to teach new believers.
God is good. He is consistent.
Proverbs 22
Thirty Sayings of the Wise
Saying 1
Pay attention and turn your ear to the sayings of the wise;
apply your heart to what I teach,
for it is pleasing when you keep them
in your heart
and have all them ready on your lips.
So that your trust may be in the Lord,
I teach you today, even you.
Have I not written thirty sayings for you,
sayings counsel and knowledge,
teaching you to be honest and to speak the truth,
so that you bring back truthful reports to those you serve?
Have a great day!
