 Isaiah Ch 10

This book is in favor of fairness, equality, justice, and respect for those of a lower social class.

Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people; making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless. What will you do on the day of reckoning, when disaster comes from afar? To whom will you run for help?

I hear fairness.......

I hear Gods love for all his children.

Sometimes its unintentional but our focus can be on being the elite of society and we find out you can begin to show partiality. Poor people have humble ways. They may be loud or maybe unpleasant.  Or drive an old car. But that's still a person who deserves basic human respect.

Do we respect only people in nice cars?

It becomes so silly when you think on society and how we see people.

Some will give the rich the best seat in the building. They are not judged or sized up. Money opens the door. At the end of the gathering the host looks for a payment. Or his ability to grant you a favor.

Why hate the poor? Why despise his car? Despise his clothing?  The poor person's lack of resources causes some people to reject, dishonor, and not care what happens to them. The poor is trampled everyday. It comes down this person has nothing to offer. But they are still a person who deserves basic human respect.

The hungry cry out to God everyday.

The oppressed cries to God for help.

The fatherless cries out God everyday.

I respect God because his throne is founded on Justice. This is what he tells the people. Be fair. He tells them be nice! He is only against evil. He hates...

  • withholding justice from the oppressed
  • making widows prey
  • robbing the fatherless
Where will you leave your riches? Nothing will remain but to cringe among the captives or fall among the slain. Yet for all this his anger is not turned away his hand is still upraised.

The Sayings of The Wise

Saying 9

Do not eat food of a begrudging host, do not crave his delicacies;for he is the kind of person who is always thinking about the cost. Eat and drink, he says to you, but his heart is not with you. You will vomit up the little you have eaten and will have wasted your compliments.

Have a great day!
