 God has all Power!

Then Man has no Power; He only has what God has given him!

What God can do?

Isaiah 45

"This is what the Lord says to his anointed, 

to Cyrus, whose right hand I will take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: 

I will go before you and will level the mountains,

I will break down gates of bronze, 

and cut through bars of iron.

I will give you hidden treasures, 

riches stored in secret places, 

so that you may know that I am the Lord, 

the God of Israel, who summons you by name

and bestow on you a title of honor, 

though you have not acknowledge me. 

I am the Lord, and there is no other; 

apart from me there is no God. 

I will strengthen you, 

though you have not acknowledge me, 

so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting

people may know there is none besides me.

Signs and wonders:

God said I will give you a sign. The sign to Israel was Jesus Christ (The Messiah). They could believe that God would bless them because Jesus was coming and in him they will experience blessings. They could not be blessed without Jesus because God was not happy with their actions. So the wise men looked for the signs.  God told Isaiah you and your children will be a sign to the people. So God told Isaiah he will give birth to a male child and the name of the child would be as he said. Our children our signs. He said when the people see the child they would know the prophecy will surely come to pass. Isaiah goes home to his wife and she becomes pregnant so the people know it will happen. Why a sign. A sign is proofs. This is why the Pharisees said Lord give a sign. Jesus told the pharisees no sign would be given to them. He told them what do you see? Is the lame...healed. Do the blind see? So what do you think? There were lots of signs but the Pharisees were blind. They rationalize everything and if they could not see the clear signs why give them more. He will give power or he will show himself strong through a person. Signs and wonders and for non-believers to believe. 

The blessing and things God does for us is not for us to think well of ourselves. But it does feel good to be God's friend. He makes you feel special. 

But God says clearly I will be your help!

 I will hold your right hand.

I will subdue nations before you. 

What great wonders.. 

Do you trust people?

I say Trust God!

I am the Lord, and there is no other.

I form the light and created darkness;

He created it: this means it is not greater than him. 

What man can put your lights out?

What man can turn your lights on?

Who man has this type of power who can say this!

I bring prosperity and create disaster; 

He may have used the King of Assyrian or the King of Babylon but God says it was him that created the disaster. He can also bring prosperity. Don't look at evil Kings and bow to them because it is God using them. Just the grass one day they will be here and in the next season they will wither away. 

God desire is prosperity but we struggle with God. 

We have a hard time being under him. 

There is none other God besides him he is in heaven and he gives us 

his spirit. 

The bible reminds us over and over again that he is God; and there is none like him. 

If you had the world was in your hands right now...... to act accordingly to what was in your heart where would you think it came from?

Is it by your power? Or has God given it to you? I would argue that God has given it to you no matter if you are good or bad. 

Jesus told Pilate, my father have given you the power that you have. But in our pride we say it is by my might I have obtain this power; and just like the devil we fall down. 

Falling means humbling and to me it just helps a reminder to remember who is God? and who we really are? 

He is the creator and he created us from the dirt and he has given us a spirit to walk on the earth. 

All the glory and power is God's and whatever his purpose he will distribute it accordingly. He gives me the power. He will empower whomever he likes. We do not dictate to God?

I, the Lord, do all these things. 

You heavens above, rain down my righteousness.

Let the clouds shower it down.

Let the earth open wide, 

let salvation spring up, 

let righteousness flourish with it;

I, the Lord, have created it. 

Woe to those who quarrel with their Maker, 

those who are nothing but potsherds among potsherds

on the ground. 

Does the clay say to the potter, 

What are you making?

Does your work say, 

The Potter has no hands?

Woe to the one who says to a father, 

What have you begotten?

or to a mother, 

What have you brought to birth?

(God makes darkness and light: this can be troubling but I like to think that God can handle everything. He is not afraid of my sin. He is not afraid of the things I struggle with. He can help me. On this earth we go through so much. We experience negative and good emotions but if you have a desire to do righteousness he will give you the power to do it but it will be through him. It is the idea we can be so bad that we come to the place that we know that no one is good but God. Its sad we experience darkness but he can turn the lights on at anytime we surrender. If he makes darkness he also creates light. He can make anyone good. He can also cause the great to fall. He is just that powerful). 

The story of humankind is one that struggles with what God says versus what we think. And just like Adam we begin to trust what we think and stop doing what God says. His word will dictate your every step, move, and thoughts. But we are such intelligent creatures the enemy takes our thoughts to places it should not be and in that place we fall. We begin to do things that God does not want us doing and we experience things we should avoid. The enemy works in our minds. My thoughts is God has ways of bringing us back home. They are not pleasant but it works. It is individual but he can handle the issue. He is God.
