Pray for strength. Pray asking, seeking, and worshiping God. Imperfect people pray. People with needs pray. Thankful people pray. People in trouble will definitely pray. Praise and prayer have one united purpose; it is unto God. It is unselfish. It seeks not its own. It seeks God. It puts him first instead of ourselves. It teaches us to be selfless. It is focused on him. It is not divided or confused with our wants and needs. The Flesh hates doing it even though it has benefits to it.

2 CH 7:14

If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Why is prayer so hard on the flesh?

Why does it resist so hard? 

It must be a good thing.

Praise 103:1

Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being praise his holy name

Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits-who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion; who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.

GET UP AND PRAY (Praise) MY SOUL

what is my soul? 

The Soul is defined as one person, or is the spirit and essence of a person. An example of your soul is the part of you that makes you who you are and that will live on after your death. An example of soul is the part of you that will go to heaven and be immortal.

All unrest, complaining, sighing, and anxiety stems from the soulish man who fights for his life. The spiritual man lives by faith in God’s Word. All things serve him for good. He has a mind for laying down his life, and he rests in God. What a glorious life and peace this is – a kingdom that cannot be moved.

Prayer is so unselfish the soul hates it. The soul can be selfish and self centered at times. Its sad sometimes we have to fight with our soul and say bless the Lord O my soul.
