God answers Prayer

1 Ti 2:8

Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.

I like to remember this when I find myself around someone who simply does not see things as I see them or maybe a conversation is leading into an argument. This type of situation happens all the time but Timothy reminds us to pray without anger or disputing. Prayer is asking God for his wisdom as well as his help. 

Col 4:2

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we ma proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.

• Be Thankful
• Pray for an open door for the message of Christ; if we have to pray for it; it tells me the door of the message is not always open. Men and women were jailed for message or Christ. We live in a world that does not always welcome the message of Christ. 

Php 1:9

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and maybe pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise to God.

Love abounds as your knowledge and depth of insight deepens

When you see someone who cannot love others it is because they need more depth. You ever heard someone say if you take the time to learn them or get to know them you will like them. 

What is the depth of something? 

Depth is deepness. 

How far will it go down.

How much can it stand.

If your knowledge and depth is deepen it allows that person to love on a level that others cannot. 

Height and depth of a tree is equal but height and depth of a node is not equal because the height is calculated by traversing from the given node to the deepest possible leaf. Depth is calculated from traversal from root to the given node.

Tall trees have great depth. Their height and their roots are equal. 

The deeper something goes down it has great depth and likewise for us when our knowledge have depth we can love deeper. When you see unloving people just remember they are shallow. Their roots are not deep enough; simply put their knowledge is short. Short love equals a short tree with short roots. Lots of love equals a tall tree with deep roots. 

When you really start digging and going deeper into understanding God and his love we learn that there are really wicked people who have intentions that are bad. But the kingdom of darkness have played a part in a lot things that cause people to error before God. We are not so holy that we cannot be around sinners but we have been made right and we share the message to others.

Dt 26:19

He has declared that he will set you in praise, fame, and honor high above all the nations he has made and that you will be a people holy to the Lord your God, as he promised.
