Are there times when God does not listen to our prayers?

1CH 5:20

They were helped in fighting them, and God delivered the Hagrites and all their allies into their hands, because they cried out to him in battle.

Sadly during times of judgement God does not listen to prayer. During these times the people were guilty of injustice, bloodshed. We want to be quick to repent and slow to speak. It is important to be connected to God. Judgement is a dark time. A time when God seems so far away. 

ISA 1:15

When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers I am not listening.

MK 12:40

They devour widows houses and for a show make lengthy prayers.
