1 JN 3:22

Praying God's Will

He went away a second time and prayed, "My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.

1JN 5:14

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 

We cannot pray for the things we want but we can  pray according to his will. If it is not his will then the issue may not go away but he will provide the strength to go through the circumstance. 

Jesus ask for it to go away but it was God's will. His purpose his plan.
