Exodus

Deliverance and Discovery

A new king arose who did not know Joseph. When this king came into power things changed. When Joseph was in power there was 70 people who arrived from Canaan. During the reign of the new king the 12 powerful tribes grew into thousands of people. They are called by the bible (Illustrated Bible) as a great people endowed with a sense of destiny but reduced to servitude.

1. The idea I want to stress might take a moment but over the next week I'm going to make connections to Jesus. For example Jesus called himself a servant.

2. Who is he in servitude too?

3. Why would something great become a servant?

Exodus takes the narrative of the old testament to a new level of meaning and significance. (The Illustrated Bible).

What happened after the promise?

1. They had to grow

2. Multiply

They had to become great. How does it become great?

SERVANTHOOD

before it is big a thing is typically small

Nature says so.

1. Joseph went into servitude

2. He later on became great. Or was he already great when he was servant?

I believe the latter.

3. Can you see any other similarities between Joseph and the children of Israel as the head towards destination greatness.

Thank You God for making us not average but Great. 😎😎😎

Have a great day!
