Sabbath Laws

Yes; there are more Laws

For six years you are to sow to your fields and harvest crops, but during the seventh year let the land lie unplowed and unused. Then the poor among your people may get food from it, and the wild animals may what they leave. Do the same with your vineyard and olive grove. 

Six days do your work, but on the seventh day do not work, so that your ox and donkey may rest and the slave born in your household, and the alien as well, may be refreshed. 

Be careful to do everything I have spoken to you. Do not invoke the names of other gods, do not let them be heard on your lips. 

THINGS I REMEMBER:  People did not cook, wash, or do anything on Sunday. Sunday was a day to do nothing. But remember life is not perfect and there is a devil. Sometimes the devil works things in a way that causes us to have to go against the law (the stone). What happen? Jesus heals on the Sabbath. So Jesus says to a group who tells him that he has broken the law: How many of you would loose his donkey and or servant if he is need on the Sabbath. So he says how much more should he help those in need. It was not a open disrespect for the law or just evil but someone was in need and God overruled his own law to help something greater than a donkey or ox. But he also tells his disciples he did not come to do away with the law but he came to fulfill it. 

Some people closed their businesses out of respect for God. Some people avoided certain types of secular movies. Some people took Sunday to rest.

May God lead you to know in your heart; follow the Holy Spirit! If you follow the stone it may lead you wrong; but if you follow the spirit it may tell you to not play baseball or for others it may not be a sin because they lack the maturity or the calling that another one may have.
