 God with Us

Happy Sunday

May we thank God for what he has already done. 

(Michtam of David.) Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.

 O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;

But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.

The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.

I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

His blessing goes beyond material things

He gives the soul rest

he makes the heart glad

He is with us in trials

He is a delight to know

When we put our eyes on those blessings we already have. Life is good. 

Matthew 9

Jesus raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman

When he was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt before him and said, "My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live. Jesus got up and when with him, and so did his disciples.

Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to hers, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed."

Jesus turned, and saw her, "Take heart, daughter, He said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed at that moment. 

When Jesus entered the synagogue leaders house and saw the noisy crowd and the people playing pipes, he said, Go, away. The girl is not dead but asleep. But they laughed at him. After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up, News of this spread though all that region. 

The woman said, if only I could touch the hem of his garment....

The man said, if only you would come and touch her hand.....

God said to the woman, Your Faith has has healed you.

Your faith heals you. 

When we believe on him we get that healing. 

If I believe if I dip in the water six times I will be healed. Then so shall it be according to my faith. 

If he tells me to go dip in the water and I believe then I still have faith. I did what he said to do. 

Let it be to you according to your faith. 

He will do exactly what we believe him to do. 

Sometimes we create methods of things to do but in reality it is your faith. 

When he healed the girl he removed the laughing crowd and he did what the man BELIVED him to do. Jesus touched her hand and she got up.
