Happy Wednesday
Psalm 33
1 Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous;
it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
2 Praise the Lord with the harp;
make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
3 Sing to him a new song;
play skillfully, and shout for joy.
4 For the word of the Lord is right and true;
he is faithful in all he does.
5 The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of his unfailing love.
6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
7 He gathers the waters of the sea into jars;
he puts the deep into storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord;
let all the people of the world revere him.
9 For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded, and it stood firm.
10 The Lord foils the plans of the nations;
he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
11 But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever,
the purposes of his heart through all generations.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people he chose for his inheritance.
13 From heaven the Lord looks down
and sees all mankind;
14 from his dwelling place he watches
all who live on earth—
15 he who forms the hearts of all,
who considers everything they do.
16 No king is saved by the size of his army;
no warrior escapes by his great strength.
17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
despite all its great strength it cannot save.
18 But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
19 to deliver them from death
and keep them alive in famine.
20 We wait in hope for the Lord;
he is our help and our shield.
21 In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.
22 May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you.

The Lord speaks to the Pharisees about divorce and marriage.
When he went southward into the region of Judea and into the east river of the Jordan river. Some Pharisees tried to trap him with a question.
"Should a man be allowed to divorce his wife for any reason?"
"Haven't you read the Scriptures?"
"They that record that from the beginning God made them male and female. And he said, "This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united as one, let no one separate them, for God has joined them together.
Male and Female
He created them male and female. We came out the womb either a female or a male.
If a man and woman be joined together why separate them?
He goes on to tell them,
"Moses permitted divorce as a concession to your hard-hearted wickedness, but it was not what God had originally intended."
Hard-hearted wickedness is the the reason why divorce had to be allowed. When I think about divorce and the reasons why people choose that path; it is because of hard-hearted wickedness. I love that God never intended for divorce. If you are divorce it is a horrible experience. It is a separation, and sometimes it is ugly. But like sheep sometimes people go astray, and things don't work out the way they should not.
"And I tell you this, a man who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery-unless his wife has been unfaithful."
(The question was: can a man divorce his wife for any reason)
(Moses permitted divorce because of hard-hearted wickedness)
(Lastly, he tells them if you divorce your wife for any reason, it is adultery)
Sometimes there is:
abuse
violence
unfaithfulness
hard hearted wickedness (a wicked person who refuses to change; Pharoah had a hard heart)
Divorce is not allowed for just any reason we can think of but there are situations when Moses had to permit divorce. It seems to me that God does not like to separate two people. Moses had to go ahead and separate them. God asks us to love and to follow him, but some people are hard hearted.
I believe God knows the heart and every and any reason is not a reason to divorce. Moses permitted some people with certain situations to divorce.
Moses gave them the law.
God does not allow divorce.
"Not everyone can accept this statement, Jesus said. "Only those who God helps. Some are born as eunches, some have been made that way by others, and some choose not to marry for the sake of the Kingdom of heaven. Let anyone who can, accept this statement"
His statement,
A man who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery-unless his wife has been unfaithful.
Have a great day!
