 God With Us

Happy Saturday!

(To the chief Musician, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech.)

Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:

Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

I will praise thee forever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

God is with us, and he sees.

The man or woman who loves lies and boast in evil. In his timing, he deals with it.

MARK CONT......

Yeast of the Pharisees and Herod

But the disciples discovered they had forgotten to bring any food.

So, there was only one loaf of bread with them in the boat. As they were crossing the lake, Jesus warned them, "Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and of Herod

They decided he was saying this because they hadn't brought any bread. Jesus knew what they were thinking so he said, "Why are you so worried about having no food? Won't you ever learn or understand? Are your hearts too hard to take it in? You have eyes--can't you see? You have ears--can't you hear? Don't you remember anything at all? What about the five thousand men I fed with five loaves of bread? How many baskets of leftovers did you pick up afterward?

Twelve, they said.

And when I fed the four thousand with seven loaves, how many large baskets of leftovers did you pick up?

Seven, they said.

Don't you understand even yet?

1.  There was one loaf of bread in the boat.

2. The disciples concern was food, but it seems like that should have been the least of their worries as they travel from town to town.

3. They are worried.

4. They are traveling, and they realize the food is low.

The Lord tells them more importantly beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Herod. Yeast uniquely spreads itself and it causes the bread to rise when baked. Without yeast the bread will not rise. So, as they go forward; The Lord says beware of their yeast. What are they spreading? What rises out of them. They refuse to believe, and they always called the Lord names unworthy of him. They thought constant evil of him'

What do they want to see happen?

They were plotting the Lord's death.

Jesus tells the disciples to beware of their yeast.

But they thought the Lord was upset they forgot the food. But the Lord says, I feed five thousand people of course we can eat but beware of what is being multiplied and spread by them. Yeast spreads itself.

What is yeast?

any of various small, single-celled fungi of the phylum Ascomycota that reproduce by fission or budding.

as a leaven in baking bread.

Have an awesome Saturday
