 God With Us

Happy Monday!

We have spent the last 6 months reading the Psalms.

We are moving forward to a new bible book.

I want to dive into the things we have in our mind that make us think or feel like we are righteous versus the things the bible say are righteous. Doing the right things. Not looking like we are right. I have them in my mind. There is truly righteous inside things (in the heart) for example b attitudes or righteous attitudes versus self-righteous things some person made up. Maybe they meant well but those things do not make us righteous. What about those  things that make us look righteous (silly things).

For example: Growing up we were told that listening to love songs would take you to hell but if you spoke ill about someone in the church it was okay. A song about love is not going to take you to hell but treating people bad will. I love Kanye West first CD. There are some songs that have a very beautiful message. We are human and we love our significant others. God wants you to love them. Sing to them, and please enjoy them. Racism, sexism, and hatred are serious, and those attitudes will take you to hell. But somehow, we tend to make our own righteous rules. Honestly, they are silly, and they are not according to what the Lord wants. Jesus enjoyed life. It is how we treat others that determined so much more about our afterlife. Not so much listening to a love song. We do not have to be depressed and downcast Christians and that is why people feel in prisoned with God instead of enjoying God. There is some demonic music but not all music is bad. Another example is befriending sinners. Sometimes we adore and sometimes take it too far.... our love for our Christian friends and we think we are too good for sinners. We love our pastors, but we should not worship them. (We cannot obey them and ignore God). That is false worship. We shall have no other God before God. The bible calls us little gods. We should not be doing wrong things to make them happy. We should follow God and do what God tells us to do not becoming men pleasers. And the reality is God says he goes after the lost. We are not supposed to talk about them and mistreat them. I don't care what their sin is. There is not one person on the earth is getting away with their sin. God will deal with them. It is not our job to be their judge and jury. We cannot judge their sins and deem unworthy to be saved. For example, we say we represent God, so we reject them; making them feel as if God is rejecting them. But the reality is God is not happy with that. But we are supposed to extend grace and mercy and allow God to do the good work.  If we talk about them (will that save them?). If we shine the light on their sin (will that save them). It has never saved a soul. So why do we do it? Their sin makes us feel more righteous (silly and crazy right). Only the love of the Lord saves them. If you love them do what really saves them. It is treating them right and they don't deserve it. God treats us Great, and we have never deserved it. To the man or woman who feels entitled to being treated great (we can blind to our ourselves). We deserve to be treated rightly and how dare anyone ever mistreat us but those who are not saved at our status deserve to be mistreated and abused or misused.

We will be reading the New Testament: The Apostle Paul (the gentile that was saved by God)

A very religious man who finally met God. God Blinded him. In this world his eyes were opened But God blinded this man (he put him in darkness). He could not see people anymore. When God opened his eyes he looked at people the right WAY.

Do we do this?

Yes we do!

Psalms 144

David.

1 Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.

2 He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.

3 LORD, what are human beings that you care for them, mere mortals that you think of them?

4 They are like a breath; their days are like a fleeting shadow.

5 Part your heavens, LORD, and come down; touch the mountains, so that they smoke.

6 Send forth lightning and scatter the enemy; shoot your arrows and rout them.

7 Reach down your hand from on high; deliver me and rescue me from the mighty waters, from the hands of foreigners

8 whose mouths are full of lies, whose right hands are deceitful.

9 I will sing a new song to you, my God; on the ten-stringed lyre I will make music to you,

10 to the One who gives victory to kings, who delivers his servant David. From the deadly sword

11 deliver me; rescue me from the hands of foreigners whose mouths are full of lies, whose right hands are deceitful.

12 Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace.

13 Our barns will be filled with every kind of provision. Our sheep will increase by thousands, by tens of thousands in our fields;

14 our oxen will draw heavy loads. There will be no breaching of walls, no going into captivity, no cry of distress in our streets.

15 Blessed is the people of whom this is true; blessed is the people whose God is the LORD.

Have a great day!
