 God With Us

Happy Wednesday 😊 😃

Romans 11

Major Theme

Paul's primary theme in Romans is the basic gospel, God's plan of salvation and righteousness for all humankind, Jew and Gentile alike and notes). Although justification by faith has been suggested by some as the theme, it would seem that a broader theme states the message of the book more adequately.

"Righteousness from God"  includes justification by faith, but it also embraces such related ideas as guilt, sanctification and security.

I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin.

God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew. Don't you know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah--how he appealed to God against Israel:

"Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left, and they are trying to kill me"

1. They kill your prophets

2. They tear down your altars

3. This is reality.

4. God is always welcoming all people and seems like we want more of who Paul use to be.

5. Paul helps us understand our thoughts versus Gods thoughts.

6. Why did they kill his prophets

And what was God's answer to him? "I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal."

So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.

And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.

What then? What Israel sought so earnestly it did not obtain, but the elect did. The others were hardened,

CHOSEN

God Chose Paul

God has chosen some people and given them grace. It is not by works.

These chosen ones are not entitled

They know it is by grace because they were once foreign to God.

Just like Paul they use to be far away, but God has changed them. But God has not rejected his people but it is only through grace so no man can have the glory.

Have an Awesome day!
