God Is Good.
Happy Sunday/Monday!
I hope Mother's day was special for you and yours!
Matthew 22:36-40 KJV
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Would you give your valuables to a thief?
Your heart is precious and how it feels affects every area of your life! How to keep it feeling good-keep your soul happy-love God and love people PROPERLY expecting nothing in return.
Would you give your valuables to untrustworthy person?
The answer is no.
I am sure that it is an old concept but still important....... LOVE. There is different types of love. For example Jesus said to Love God with all your heart, mind, and soul. That is everything. He said love your neighbor as you love yourself. I always like to think of that as.... if I don't like something being done to me than I should not do it to someone else. That's love and respect. I always see the two as twins. We treat ourselves pretty good and that is the standard for how we treat and love others (our neighbors). We are not called to love people with heart, mind, body, and soul. Why? Because we are flawed and you will end up hurt. Give your hear to the wrong things and guess what the devil is sure to touch it. There is another passage where Jesus said whomever loves mother, father more than me cannot be my disciples. Love has to be given properly. Its okay to have boundaries with strangers. You don't know them. How many people end up in horrible situations for trusting the wrong person. However we act like God is not to be trusted. God can be trusted. He will never let you down. The devil lies to us when we don't understand things and situations. But just have faith in his character until it make sense.
Have a beautiful Day!
