Happy Thursday😊

Skin Color!

A apple 🍎is red. Is it better than a orange🍊.  I think they are different who can compare to the two. Is the apple 🍎 wrong. Or is the 🍌 banana right. If we focus only on color. One isn't better than the other. Maybe you prefer apples instead of 🍇 grapes. That's okay too.

A long time ago some taught that dark skin was a curse from God. Supposedly it happened through early bible relationships. Some believe as far back as Abraham. However that is not supported by the Bible. Dark skin comes as a direct result of living in a very hot climate.

The lie was something believed and taught in the south. It was told to slaves to make them submit to slavery. It was a mental idea told to them to cause them to accept ugly circumstances. Even today we fight ideas. We search for truth. It is too many lies. Secondly, the slaves were also taught the Bible from very racist men who perverted the scripture to support slavery. Sadly the Bible was used to keep them slaves. They  taught the slaves it was God's will to serve white Masters, and of course white male masters believe these things as well because they had a lot to gain. Sadly it was a great life for them. Someone else to do their work. Of course they would teach and say anything. Would you follow a crazy person? No. We would say there is something wrong with their ideas. If God doesn't do it he doesn’t support it. Jesus teachings of servanthood is beautiful. He would tell everyone we serve each other. It is out of love. Sadly some have perverted these ideas to force other people to live in horrific circumstances. Image rape and abuse, chains, degrading, and physical abuse that does not come from God. That would be a perverse person support of slavery. In their mind they took words like servant, and master from the bible to support evil. Or just their sick way of feeling okay with mistreating other people. At times it doesn't even fit the idea of slavery it can fit into genocide. God told Pharaoh to let his people go. He never supports bondage.

A short summary. Thankfully today we have evolved. We are no longer fixated on skin color. Or engaging in harassment of darker skin individuals. Or believing we are better because of a lighter skin color. These things come from bad things. The slaves believe it; and so did those that favored slavery. The Blind leading the blind is always someone leading someone to a bad path.

THE ORIGIN OF BLACK SKIN

IT WAS NOT A PEOPLE HIT BY A CURSE BUT A PEOPLE THAT LIVED IN A HOT LAND AND THEIR SKIN ADJUSTED.

 The sun people:

It was 🔥hot.

"The evolution of dark skin is believed to have begun around 1.2 million years ago, in light-skinned early hominid species after they moved from the equatorial rainforest to the sunny savannas. In the heat of the savannas, better cooling mechanisms were required, which led to the development of dark skin pigmentation, which acted as a mechanism of natural selection against folate (vitamin B9) depletion. The primary factor contributing to the evolution of dark skin pigmentation was the breakdown of different natural things. By the time modern Homo sapiens evolved, all humans were dark-skinned."

Hating Dark Skin! Why?

More likely the belief that it was a curse from God. Even among the slaves their was distinctions. The lighter skin slaves experience better treated. I'm sure no one  wanted to be black. Thank God today we have shun these lies because we hold the truth.

WORDS

The Words of Carter G. Woodson.

"History shows that it does not matter who is in power or what revolutionary forces take over the government, those who have not learned to do for themselves and have to depend solely on others never obtain any more rights or privileges in the end than they had in the beginning."
Carter G. Woodson

"The mere imparting of information is not education. Above all things, the effort must result in making a man think and do for himself."
