Topic: Forgiveness

God is Love; and God is forgiveness (simply meaning it is apart of his character. It is something he does). We call a robber a thief because it is his character to steal. It is something he does. 

You are acting godly when you forgive. If you write you are a writer. If you teach you are a teacher. If you drive a truck. You are a truck driver. It is something you do. So God is forgiveness. How do we even know what forgiveness is. We know by reading the bible and through the character of God we learn about forgiveness. Other religions cannot say where forgiveness comes from. What is the concept and why is it so beautiful and very much needed. We know because God was forgiving man a long time ago. It gets even better in the New Testament because when we will learn that imperfect people needed to be forgiven each year or more than a few times a year. 

God made a way to have peace with mankind. God will forgive you and we will have to forgive at some point in life. The devil tricked Adam into eating the fruit and today he tricks men into offending each other. He lies, cheats, and steals and at some point we will have to forgive the person the enemy uses but not the offense.

 God deals with the spirit behind it. He loved Adam. Adam did what he did and I bet it hurt God but God sees the things that work against us at times. He makes a way to reconcile the relationship if possible. We will learn that God created a peaceful path to come back to him but not everybody will because this path requires a person to confess to admit that its wrong. It is simple but we know its hard for some people to admit they are wrong because of pride. 

For some in the New Testament they did not believe the word of God and they did not like his son so forgiveness for their sins will be unavailable. There is peace with God but it is his way. It is his son. It is his son teaching us how to walk with a very righteous God; to not only to always forgive us but to lead us to paths of righteousness so we can understand the Lord. He forgives freely but he provides a new way of life. We just have to be open to learn. 

Daniel 9:9

9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against him;

Daniel acknowledges his wrongs. (Before God). If it is something between you and a person go to the person but if its between you and God then its you and God only. Daniel also repents and asks God to forgive the people. You don't have to tell people your business with God unless you like too. 

Ask for forgiveness. Admit the thing. Married couples have to do it. It is the only way to live in peace. A person should not beat you up with it but you were not perfect when you met them so you will need their forgiveness. Allow them to tell you the things you do that hurt them. Its only right. Be tender hearted. Not a stiff neck hurtful person that doesn't care about other people feelings. Just offending people easily but be careful but guess what it happens and we don't mean it. God gets it. I think he forgives and he expects us to forgive too. 

If they come to you. Be quick to forgive. But provide a path of peace. This is how we can get along. What brings peace. Maybe its a distant relationship or a better one you make. 

God responds to him quickly. 

19 " O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God;

21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to"
