Romans Chapter 13

This book unquestionably is filled with truth. The writer does not hesitate to write boldly the word of God. He dives into what is moral, judgement, life  among believers, and Jews and Gentiles.  It definitely drawns a line in the Sand concerning right or wrong and at the same time it is filled knowledge and wisdom. It breaks down faith, works, justification, and now the last few chapters dive into how we should live with each other. We know this book is the word of God. 1. The teachings about life mimic Jesus Christ teachings. 2. The book glorify the savior Jesus Christ. 3. The writings promote peace among believers. 4. The book leads readers to salvation. 5. It uses old testament scriptures to support it's gospel. Lastly it  provides instructions on how to live life. For example the next chapter deals with how we respond to the government as believers as well as what is God's view on our everyday situations. 

1Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. 6For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. 7Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.

Love Your Neighbor

8Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Put on Christ

11And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

NIV commentary

• Christians only wanted to be devoted to Jesus Christ but the Apostle Paul instructs them to submit to governing authority because they are ordain by God
• Even those that persecuted Paul
• Judgement can come through the governing authority. For the purpose of punishment or judgement
• If the civil authority overstep there authority Paul instructs it is better to please God instead of man.

Hugs and smiles ( not a man thing) it's definitely a woman thing ( to send smiley faces). I have a male friend; and he gets upset when his other male friend sends him rainbows, and smiling faces. He grunts every time he sees text messages with rainbows and smiles. 

One day he asked me, what does that mean? I told him I am not sure it's just cute to me. He did confess to me he doesn't like it. 🤣🤣 I could not stop laughing. Its a woman thing. Men please don't send your male friends texts with rainbows and smiley faces. I learned men interact differently, a simple hello works. 

I think it's cute; it's funny he doesn't know what it is or what it means. I could do a simple have a good day. But these hearts are cute. Men don't speak this language only women.
