June 25, 2020, Psalms 105, Revelation 7

Happy Thursday!

Psalms 105
Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.
Sing to him, Sing praise to him;
tell of his wonderful acts.
Glory to his holy name.
Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Look to the Lord and his strength;
seek his face always.
Remember the wonders he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,
O descendants of Abraham his servant,
O sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.
He is the Lord our God;
his judgments are in all the earth.
He remembers his covenant forever,
the word he commanded, for a thousand
generations,
the covenant he made with Abraham,
the oath he swore to Isaac.
He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree.
to Israel as an everlasting covenant:
To you I will give the land of Canaan
as the portion you will inherit.
When they were but few in number,
few indeed, and strangers in it,
they wandered from nation to nation,
from one kingdom to another.
He allowed no one to oppress them;
for their sake he rebuked kings:
Do not touch my anointed ones;
do my prophets no harm.
He called down famine on the land
and destroyed all their supplies of food;
and he sent a man before them-Joseph,
sold as a slave.
They bruised his feet with shackles,
his neck was put in irons,
till what he foretold came to pass,
till the word of the Lord proved him true.
The King sent and released him,
the ruler of peoples set him free.
He made him master of his household,
ruler over all he possessed,
to instruct his princes as he pleased and teach his elders wisdom.
Then Israel entered Egypt;
Jacob lived as an alien in the land of Ham.
The Lord made his people very fruitful;
he made them too numerous for their foes,
whose hearts he turned to hate his people,
to conspire against his servants.
He sent Moses his servant,
and Aaron, whom he had chosen.
They performed his miraculous sings among them,
his wonders in the land of Ham.
He sent darkness and made the land dark-
for had they not rebelled against his words?
He turned their waters into blood,
causing  their fish to die.
Their land deemed with frogs,
which went up into the bedrooms of their rulers.
He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, gnats
throughout their country. He turned their
rain into hail, with lighting throughout their land;
he struck down their vines and fig trees and shattered the trees of their country.
He spoke, and the locusts came,
grasshoppers without numbers they ate up
every green thing in their land, at up the produce
of their soil.
Then he struck down all the firstborn in their land,
the first fruits of all their manhood.
He brought out Israel, laden with silver and gold, and
from among their tribes no one faltered. Egypt
was  glad when they left.
because the dread of Israel had fallen on them.
He spread out a cloud as covering and a fire
to give light at night.
They asked, and he brought them quail
and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
He opened the rock, and water gushed out;
like a river it flowed in the desert.
For he remembered his holy promise
given to his servant Abraham. He brought
out his people with rejoicing,
his chosen ones with shouts of joy;
he gave them the lands of the nations,
and they fell heir to what others had toiled
for--that they might keep his precepts
and observe his laws.
Praise the Lord.

 Revelation 7

After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth, or on the sea, or on any tree. And I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God; and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, "Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees until we have sealed the bond-servants of our God on their foreheads.

(I am so glad that God knows each and everyone of us.
There is a seal upon the forehead. It is visible to his angels.)

And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel:

From the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand were sealed, from the tribe of Rueben twelve thousand, from the tribe of Gad twelve thousand, from the tribe of Asher twelve thousand, from the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand, from the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand, from the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand, from the tribe of Levi twelve thousand, from the tribe of of Issachar twelve thousand, from the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand, from the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand, from the tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand were sealed.

It is still true, salvation to the Jew first then the Gentile. So much is going  on but in the midst of it God gathers and seals those who will inherit salvation.

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.

And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God. Saying, Amen, blessings and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever.

Then one of the elders asked me, "These in white robes --who are they?, and where did they come from?

I answered, "Sir, you know."

And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation: they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore,

'they are before the throne of God
and serve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne
 will shelter them with his presence.
Never again will they hunger;
never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,
nor any scorching heat.
For the Lamb at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd;
he will lead them to springs of living water.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

The Great Multitude:
  1. Have on white
  2. They have palm branches in their hands (the last time people had palm branches it was in Jerusalem and they were preparing to crucify him) Its good to know this time is different. This time it is his SECOND COMING! In Matthew they said; blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! This time they say, salvation belongs to our God.
  3. They have washed their garments in the blood of the Lamb.
  4. They come from every nation
  5. They represent all tongues
  6. They are in the presence of God, safe from all harm and danger.
  7. The righteous flourish like a palm tree.

Have a great day!
