 Happy Saturday 

 

Songs of Praise   Isaiah Chapter 12

In that day you will say:

“I will praise you, Lord.

    Although you were angry with me,

your anger has turned away

    and you have comforted me.

Surely God is my salvation;

    I will trust and not be afraid.

The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense;

    he has become my salvation.”

 With joy you will draw water

    from the wells of salvation.

In that day you will say:

“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;

    make known among the nations what he has done,

    and proclaim that his name is exalted.

Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things;

    let this be known to all the world.

 Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion,

    for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.”

He was angry with them but he did not leave them in darkness. God promised the darkness will turn to light. It is important to stand for truth and its very important to give an alternative to what you say is wrong. If they should do A, B, C, then what should they do. I love that God is dealing with and attacking the injustice and problems but he is also creating a path to light. We know that some people will not accept his invitation to change but he offers it. If there is no hope then we have not really shined the light. A light shining in darkness lights up the path to the right way. It also exposes the wrong things in the room. God offers hope. The Branch of Jesse. 

• In that day they were looking for him and in our day he has come.
• The spirit of the Lord will rest on him
• The spirit of wisdom
• The spirit of understanding
• The spirit of counsel
• The spirit of knowledge and fear of the Lord
• With Justice he makes decisions
• He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth
• With his breath he will slay the wicked.

On that day everyone will get a chance to know the Lord; the people will find great joy. They will say the Lord  was angry but what great joy we have now....Thank You God. 

Can a person give you Joy! 

Can a person make you feel secure with them.

Can a person make people shout for joy!

There is a person named Jesus who brings great joy. 

What great joy!
