It is that time of Year

Yom Kippur

The Israelites were growing and multplying. This was the reason the enemy put them in bondage. It was not because of sin it was because the Egyptians said, if they became great they would over throw them. So they went as far as killing all new born males.

• In Egypt they put slave masters over them.
• Why?
• Was God punishing them for sin? No. If God punished them for sin should he not have punished the Egyptians who were worst sinners. 
• "Then a new king, who did not know Joseph, came into power in Egpyt . " Look, he said, the Israelites have become much too numerous for us." 

The devil did not want the promise that they would become a great nation to come to pass. The twelve tribes are ready and they are growing. Secondly God needs to introduce himself so the enemy plays right into God's hands.
