 God with Us

Happy Monday

Psalms 54

For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A maskil of David. When the Ziphites had gone to Saul and said, “Is not David hiding among us?”

Save me, O God, by your name;

vindicate me by your might.

Hear my prayer, O God;

listen to the words of my mouth.

Arrogant foes are attacking me;

ruthless people are trying to kill me—

people without regard for God.

Surely God is my help;

the Lord is the one who sustains me.

Let evil recoil on those who slander me;

in your faithfulness destroy them.

I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you;

I will praise your name, Lord, for it is good.

You have delivered me from all my troubles,

and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.

Seeing from God's Perspective

Jesus predicted his Death (He tells them his purpose)

As he talked about this openly with his disciples, Peter took him aside and told him he shouldn't say things like that.

Jesus turned and looked at his disciple and then said to Peter very sternly, "Get away from me, Satan! You are seeing things from a mere human point of view, not from God's." 

He was the savior of the world

We are called to live but he came to die. 

When a problem happens, it helps to take on God's perspective. Perspective and position help to make the right choices in difficult situations.
