 God With Us

Happy Joyful Monday

Why?

I notice sometimes how our young people are asking why?

Why is today a joyful Monday? They need reasonings.

Answer: Because God made this day!

He will not make our decisions today, but he will be with us to help us if we desire it. It is not based on circumstances but all about how you see today.

A song. A psalm of the Sons of Korah. For the director of music. According to mahalath leannoth. A maskil of Heman the Ezrahite.

1 LORD, you are the God who saves me; day and night I cry out to you.

2 May my prayer come before you; turn your ear to my cry.

3 I am overwhelmed with troubles and my life draws near to death.

4 I am counted among those who go down to the pit; I am like one without strength.

5 I am set apart with the dead, like the slain who lie in the grave, whom you remember no more, who are cut off from your care.

6 You have put me in the lowest pit, in the darkest depths.

7 Your wrath lies heavily on me; you have overwhelmed me with all your waves.

8 You have taken from me my closest friends and have made me repulsive to them. I am confined and cannot escape;

9 my eyes are dim with grief. I call to you, LORD, every day; I spread out my hands to you.

10 Do you show your wonders to the dead? Do their spirits rise up and praise you?

11 Is your love declared in the grave, your faithfulness in Destruction ?

12 Are your wonders known in the place of darkness, or your righteous deeds in the land of oblivion?

13 But I cry to you for help, LORD; in the morning my prayer comes before you.

14 Why, LORD, do you reject me and hide your face from me?

15 From my youth I have suffered and been close to death; I have borne your terrors and am in despair.

16 Your wrath has swept over me; your terrors have destroyed me.

17 All day long they surround me like a flood; they have completely engulfed me.

18 You have taken from me friend and neighbor— darkness is my closest friend.

PERCEPTION AND FEELINGS

(Emotions- feelings moving one like a deep wave towards goodness or darkness)

The Psalmist is in need of God's help.

He feels wrath, he feels the darkness.

When we go through something we tend to think about life and all the things we have experience. We feel pity for ourselves. In this passage he feels or perceives that God is hiding from him because that's exactly how the moment feels. The words are literal and meaningful. This is exactly how he feels. This is what goes through his mind. Somehow one can feel like they are sinking. You are the only feeling it at that moment and it is real. It is in your spirit.

But the reality is: God is with him. We see him experiencing all the human things we all go through. These things feel real but sometimes our perception needs to change, and God helps us with that. That is why preaching uplifts us. Positive words drag us up out of that pit. The power of words.

Good deeds tend to feel good and bad deeds tend to feel like deep darkness.

sin ---takes us down (dealings with the devil and with it comes negative emotions)

Without notice you will begin to feel and think bad.

Righteousness--deals with God and it uplifts us (means you have his spirit and it uplifts)

Without notice you will find yourself feeling like you are on the MOUNTAIN TOP.

Luke cont...

Luke 12 32-34

Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near, and no moth destroys. For where Treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Where your treasure is their is your heart!

God always speaks of the heart.

The heart and brain move the body.

If the heart is bad the body is bad. (The way you think)

The core of the person. How they think, feel, and perceive things.

Have an awesome day!
