I wanted to share some things about the earth. On Monday there was a beautiful totality Solar Eclipse. The eclipse distance was both captivating and intriguing. It really provided a glimpse of the distance of the sun. For a few moments the☀️ Sun's corona was visible and it burned like fire. Can we agree that life, nature, and even the diverse animals are beautiful. To end the week I do want to share some general information on global Warming, and rising sea levels. I've been absent three days but I'm back. All the information about science is taken from an online science article. I will provide my source. Even though I'm going to take bits and pieces of information from one source. I do want to express that I've been following this information from many sources. It interest me on a personal level and the lastest events were pretty cool to witness. First the Bible says the earth is the Lord's and all that fills the earth.

1. A lot of people do not believe or care much about global warming or care if it is happening. So what is it? What is in the Bible? What's happening in 2024?

What says Research/Science. Just some general information.

"As the human population has increased, so has the volume of fossil fuels burned. Fossil fuels include coal, oil, and natural gas, and burning them causes what is known as the “greenhouse effect” in Earth’s atmosphere.

The greenhouse effect is when the sun’s rays penetrate the atmosphere, but when that heat is reflected off the surface cannot escape back into space. Gases produced by the burning of fossil fuels prevent the heat from leaving the atmosphere. These greenhouse gasses are carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, water vapor, methane, and nitrous oxide. The excess heat in the atmosphere has caused the average global temperature to rise overtime, otherwise known as global warming.

Global warming has presented another issue called climate change. Sometimes these phrases are used interchangeably, however, they are different. Climate change refers to changes in weather patterns and growing seasons around the world. It also refers to sea level rise caused by the expansion of warmer seas and melting ice sheets and glaciers. Global warming causes climate change, which poses a serious threat to life on Earth in the forms of widespread flooding and extreme weather. Scientists continue to study global warming and its impact on Earth."

The Earth belongs to God. He knows it. He created it. Do not fear. But have faith in God. The earth is changing. Technology is changing, people change because the generations change, and that means we are seeing things our parents taught. And future generations might live out.

The prophet/writer uses images to describe the great day of the Lord. Do not get uneasy. But the images and the minor things we see today collide and testify to what the Bible says. On Monday there was darkness upon the earth for 7 minutes. In Genesis before creation it says darkness was upon the earth. God does not tell us stories. He speaks reality. The sun is a great hot ball of fire 🔥. It can burn ❤️‍🔥 anything that gets to close to it. But it is also a light source. We see because of the sun. If you remove the sun plants and life suffer.

Revelation 21:1-27 ESV

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.
