Forgiveness 

You cannot have a relationship with God without forgiveness. A lot of people are divorced because no one admits their wrong or think they are wrong. Or the situation never changes. If you never change how can things get better. How can two people walk together except they agree. I know the commandments are old but God gave them for our knowledge. So we know right from wrong. Most of the commandments involve other people. How to respect others. 

Love God; and Love your neighbor as you love yourself. Treat people how you want to be treated. 

When we fall short we can ask for forgiveness.

Forgiveness is something you have to ask for. 

Daniel prayed; and ask God to forgive him. 

Moses prayed and ask God to forgive the people. Sometimes God required some actions to follow. In the old times cowboy movies when a thief came to town. He would run that town. He would do all the mischievous things he could. In pride he continued his same pattern and of course he gets caught by the good cowboys. Then he becomes ashamed. He is more embarrassed because he gets caught. On the other hand when a man did wrong and his heart convicted or bothered him he asked for forgiveness. If you are stubborn your heart may not be working or sensitive to God because some people spend a long time far from God but if they get caught I bet they cry out to God. Having a hard heart means its just not sensitive to how it treats others or to God. I don't think God likes to be around us while we hurt and insult each other. He is righteous he does not like that type of environment. 

When God is in you. You cannot continue to do things that are hurtful to others. It is impossible to be the same person especially if its not a nice personality. 

Thankfully all we have to do is ask. 

Thankfully God is not keeping records.

He waited for God to forgive him. He had hope that God would forgive him. I bet that made him not want to do it again. 

Psalm 130

3 If you, Lord, kept a record of sins,

    Lord, who could stand?

4 But with you there is forgiveness,

    so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

5 I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,

    and in his word I put my hope.

6 I wait for the Lord

    more than watchmen wait for the morning,

    more than watchmen wait for the morning.

7 Israel, put your hope in the Lord,

    for with the Lord is unfailing love

    and with him is full redemption.

8 He himself will redeem Israel

    from all their sins.
