Forgiveness 

It's a new day!

Old things have passed away. Start a new day with hope, love, and a forward mindset.

The bible 

Exodus 40:34 

And the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

We will move past

the boundaries of fear

that keep us locked within ourselves, 

cradling our weaknesses. 

We will knock down the 

barriers of habit-

our eyes always fixed on the same faces

it hurts us to look at.

Then our hearts will open up 

and our startled eyes will behold 

astonishing beauty. 

We will break through 

the gates of intolerance, 

past that dry, rigid syllogism

of order and truth

that condemns without appeal

those travelers who move on different paths.

Then the dialogue will open and 

our first words will always speak respect. 

We will strip away

the barriers of appearance

that imprison men and women

in their age, their poverty,

their wealth or their sorrows.

Then benevolence will open its arms

and without discrimination

we will welcome their hidden treasures.

We will step past 

the bounds between religions,

across the centuries of opposition, 

and erase the old argument that some of us walk

closer to God then the rest of us.

Then the covenant will open up

to all who seek God, 

and God will become increasingly visible

among men and women. 

We will stride beyond

the limits of our dreams and 

in the place that we occupy, 

we will exert

the power of our love.

Then, from this day, will rise up a nation

of brothers and sisters, free children 

of our Father who is in heaven.
